The first electrified railway in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region opened on Friday morning, linking (连接 liánjiē） Lhasa with Nyingchi. "Fuxing" bullet trains will run at speeds up to 160 km/h. It now only takes 1 hour (小时 xiǎoshí) and 10 minutes (分钟 fēnzhōng) to travel from Lhasa to Shannan and 3 hours 29 minutes from Lhasa to Nyingchi.
