YJ: Well before going to the sentences, I’d like to test some of the words we mentioned during the week. Kitchen, you remember how to say it in Chinese ?
Cam: 厨房 (chu2fang2)
YJ: Right. all in the second tone. 厨房 (chu2fang2)Then how about living room and dining room?
Cam: 客厅(ke4ting1), 餐厅(can1ting1).
YJ: Well done! How about bedroom?
Cam: 卧室(wo4 shi4)
YJ: Great! You certainly made a great progress in the last week.
Cam: Yes. Thanks.

A:这是客厅,那是卧室,旁边是餐厅。。。
B: 你们家可真大。
Cam: Well, yajie, I’m not sure if the Chinese for washing the dishes is 洗碗(xi3 wan3).
YJ: It is. 洗碗(xi3 wan3). But as we mentioned during the lessons, wan3 is the general term for dishes, such as plates, forks, chopsticks and so on.
Cam: Ok. 洗碗(xi3 wan3), to wash the dishes. But how do you say I’d like to help you wash the dishes?
YJ: You can say我帮你洗碗。(wo3 bang1 ni3 xi3 wan3.)
Cam: 我帮你洗碗。(wo3 bang1 ni3 xi3 wan3.)
YJ: 帮 (bang1), to help.
Cam: 帮 (bang1)
YJ: 我帮你洗碗。(wo3 bang1 ni3 xi3 wan3.)

Cam: Yajie, it’s interesting that the Chinese friends often ask me “chi1 le ma?”, have you eaten, when they see me every morning. In fact I cook breakfast every day. How do I say that in Chinese?
YJ: You can tell them 我每天都做早饭 (wo3 mei3tian1 dou1zuo4 zao3 fan4)
Cam: 我每天都做早饭 (wo3 mei3tian1 dou1zuo4 zao3 fan4)
YJ: 每天 (mei3tian1),every day.
Cam: 每天 (mei3tian1)
