A memorial for the late author Zhao Changtian, who founded the "New Concept Composition Contest," was held on April 3 in Shanghai. Zhao died on March 31 at age 66 of leukemia. Noted author, blogger and race car driver Han Han and his wife attended the event. Han Han, who benefited early in his writing career from the contest, cried while recalling Zhao.
