Youth Olympic Games Open 青奥会

The 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games opened in east China's Nanjing on August 16 with more than 3,700 athletes from around the world taking part in.
第二届夏季青年奥林匹克运动会8月16日在南京开幕,来自世界各地的3700多名运动员参加了开幕式。
 

During the 13-day-competition sports gala(运动盛会), the young athletes(运动员) aged between 15-18 will compete(比赛) in 28 sports in arenas and stadiums in Nanjing, the capital city of Jiangsu Province.

Chinese President Xi Jinping declared open(开幕) of the Games at the ceremony(仪式) in the modern Olympic Sports Complex, wher flags(国旗) representing 203 National Olympic Committees paraded(展示).

Among those present at the ceremony are Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach, former IOC President Jacques Rogge, Burundian President Pierre Nkurunziza, President of Maldives Abdulla Yameen, President of Singapore Tan Keng Yam, and other foreign guests.
