Photos of a woman driving a trashed taxi without doors in Xiangtan, Central China's Hunan province have made a recent splash online.
The woman who snapped the photos, surnamed Wu, wrote in an online post that the car had flat tires and a loose bumper as it drove along Shuangyong Road in Yuetang district on November 2.
Wu added that the unidentified cabbie "seemed very calm" and was "wearing her seat belt."
A Xiangtan public security bureau official surnamed Xie explained that the driver may have been en route to one of the many car repair garages on Shuangyong Road.
Xie said the driver has violated road traffic safety regulations for driving a vehicle in such condition on public roads and is subject to severe punishment if caught.
