The Du Channel starts from the uterus in the underbelly and ends at the perineum. The channel travels backwards through the body to the long, strong acupuncture point located from the middle of the lumbar waist to the sacrum, and then goes upward along the spine to the wind mansion acupuncture point behind the neck before entering the brain. Along the middle line of the back of the head, it again goes up to the Baihui point at the vertex and then downward to the forehead, staying along the nasal column to the Su Liao point at the tip of the nose, before passing the philtrum to the Yin Jiao point in the upper jaw.
