Usage:

“别扭”指气氛不融洽,让人感到尴尬、拘谨、不自在或指意见不统一。
“别扭” means when the atmosphere is not friendly, which makes people feel embarrassed, stiff, and uncomfortable. It also refers to disagreement.

Sentences:

1、两个人呆在一起却找不到话题,还真有点儿别扭。
Liǎnggèrén dāizài yīqǐ què zhǎobúdào huàtí, hái zhēn yǒudiǎnr bièniu.
It is awkward when two people stay in the same room but have nothing to talk about.
2、Nǐmen búyào nào bièniu lā, dàdù yīdiǎn!
你们不要闹别扭啦,大度一点!
