As we all known,China's most renowned beverage is tea(茶chá), and rightly so. The Chinese are already cultivating tea for thousands of years, and also its approaches for processing tea have remained virtually unchanged of numerous many years.

You can find many kinds of tea in the three main categories: green tea, oolong tea and black tea. Any visit to China or Taiwan isn't complete with a sampling of the fine tea that is offered.

More Than Tea

Chinese tea is not the only drink you can buy. There are all kinds of fruit juices, soft drinks, beers and wines to sample. Non-alcoholic drinks(软饮料ruǎnyǐnliào) are available at coffee(咖啡kāfēi) outlets and tea stands, and bars and restaurants also serve beer(啤酒píjiǔ), wine(果酒guǒjiǔ), and liquor(酒jiǔ).

A lot of drinks are served sweetened, but it is possible to order them with no sugar or with just a little bit of sugar. Coffee is usually served with creamer and bags of sugar on the side. Green tea and oolong tea(乌龙茶wūlóngchá) tend to be served without sugar or milk. Black tea(红茶hóngchá) with milk is known as "milk tea,"(奶茶nǎichá) and may be sweetened in accordance to taste.
