人民币推动世界货币改革

 

The internationalization of the renminbi is a significant step for advancing the reform of the international monetary system, Xinhua reported.

据新华社报道，全国社会保障基金理事会理事长戴相龙周六表示，人民币国际化是推进世界货币体制改革的重要一步。他表示，当今的国际经济发展格局需要货币多元化，即：让美元以外的其它货币发挥更大的作用。

戴相龙表示，人民币是一种稳定的货币，它可保证他国资产的安全，可促进国际贸易，可保护中国对外贸易和投资的利益。他说，人民币国际化需要15到20年时间，并建议通过扩大人民币的海外发行量和加快开放中国大型商业银行来加快这一进程。

Dai Xianglong, chairman of the National Council for Social Security Funds, said Saturday that the internationalization of the renminbi is a significant step for advancing the reform of the international monetary system, Xinhua reported. He said that the current pattern of global economic development needs currency diversification that allows currencies besides the US dollar to play a bigger role.

Dai said the renminbi is a stable currency that can ensure the safety of other countries' assets, enhance world trade and protect the interests of China's foreign trade and investment. The internationalization of the renminbi will take 15 to 20 years, Dai said, suggesting an expansion of the overseas circulation of the renminbi and acceleration in the opening of China's large commercial banks to speed up the process.
