Zheng Banqiao 郑板桥

郑板桥，汉族，江苏兴化人；清代著名画家、书法家；原名郑燮，字克柔，号板桥，也称郑板桥；乾隆时进士，曾任潍县县令。
Zheng Banqiao, Han nationality, was a native of Xinghua, Jiangsu Province. Zheng was a famous painter and calligrapher of the Qing Dynasty. Zheng’s former name was Zheng Xie, courtesy name Kerou, and Banqiao was his pseudonym, so Zheng was also called Zheng Banqiao. Zheng became a successful candidate in the highest imperial examinations and held the post of magistrate of Weixian County during the reign of Emperor Qianlong.
