Song Qingling 宋庆龄

Song Qingling (also spelt as Soong Ching-ling) was a great fighter for patriotism, nationalism, internationalism and communism as well as a world famous great lady of the 20th century. A follower of Sun Yat-sen in her youth, Song dedicated her whole life to the revolution. During her nearly 70 years of revolutionary career, Song always resolutely took sides with the Chinese people and the Communist Party of China, bravely fought for the liberation of the Chinese people and for the welfare of the women and children in health care and cultural education, and spared no effort in safeguarding China's reunification and world peace and in promoting the progress of mankind, making unforgettable contribution, winning the admiration and respect of the Chinese both at home and abroad, the recognition and love of international friends and enjoying high prestige.
