kuài fàng jià le zhè ge jià qī  nǐ  men
快   放  假 了。 这  个 假 期 你  们
yǒu shén me jì huà
有  什  么 计 划?
The holiday is coming. Do you have any plans?
wǒ dǎ  suan  huí  jiā guò  nián
我  打  算  回  家  过  年。
I plan to spend the coming Spring Festival at home.
wǒ dǎ  suan liú zài xué  xiào  xué  xí
我  打  算  留  在  学  校  学  习。
I plan to stay at school and study.
Dialogue Two
hēi hú màn zhè ge  jià qī  nǐ yǒu shén  me dǎ  suan
嘿, 胡  曼, 这  个  假 期 你 有  什  么  打  算?
Hi, Hu Man. What are your plans for the upcoming holiday?
wǒ xiǎng  huí jiā kàn  wǒ de jiā rén nǐ ne
我  想  回  家 看  我 的  家 人。 你 呢?
I want to go back home and see my family. What about you?
wǒ yě shì wǒ hěn xiǎng niàn  wǒ de  jiā rén
我  也 是, 我  很   想  念  我  的  家 人。
Me too. I miss my family a lot.
Explanation of difficult points


1. 快……
In this case "快" (kuài) means "soon", it could also be said "快要……" (kuài yào).

2. 过年
"过" (guò) has the same meaning as in Lesson 22 which means "to spend (time)". "年" (nián) literally means "year", but here it is referring to the Spring Festival.

3. 想、想念
In this case, "想" (xiǎng) means "want to do something" or "plan to do something". "想念" (xiǎng niàn) means long to see somebody or something because long time no see.
