China Daily, established in 1981, is the only national English-language newspaper in China. The average daily circulation is more than 200,000, one-third of which is abroad in more than 150 countries and regions.
As a newspaper group, China Daily also runs China Business Weekly, China Daily Hong Kong Edition, Reports from China, Shanghai Star, Beijing Weekend, 21st Century, 21st Century Teens Senior Edition, 21st Century Teens Junior Edition and the China Daily Web site (http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/).

China Central Television(CCTV)

In China, CCTV is not for Closed Circuit Television 闭路电视 but China Central Television中国中央电视台. CCTV is the national TV network of the People’s Republic of China. CCTV currently has 8 channels, broadcasting 138 hours of programs daily.
CCTV International is the English-language 24-hour news channel of China Central Television, China´s largest national TV network. Launched on September 25, 2000, CCTV International is dedicated to reporting news and information to its global audience, with a special focus on China. With a team of experienced and committed journalists, CCTV International is China´s contribution to greater diversity and more perspective in the global information flow.
With its new lineup starting May 3rd, 2004, CCTV International increased coverage of world events, in addition to its focus on China. CCTV International emphasizes a Chinese perspective while striving to give a more balanced picture of the world.
CCTV International covers the globe via six satellites. Its programs can now be seen by 45 million subscribers outside China. 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CCTV International provides viewers with a host of news and feature programs.

China Radio International (CRI)
中国国际广播电台 Zhongguo guoji guangbo diantai
China Radio International (CRI) is the only overseas broadcaster in the People’s Republic of China. CRI was founded on December 3, 1941 and is owned and operated by the state.
CRI serves the entire globe with 392 hours of broadcasts every day in 38 foreign languages and four local Chinese dialects as well as standard Chinese, aiming at promoting understanding and friendship between the people of China and people throughout the world.
China Radio International operates 27 overseas bureaus around the world, and many local bureaus across China, including the Hong Kong and Macao special administration regions, thereby forming a comprehensive global news and information network.
CRI runs a Chinese-language newspaper, World News，and a magazine, World Radio, Film & Television. CRI also run the China International Radio Press and the China International Audio & Video Publishing House.
