Not ashamed to learn from one's subordinates

 

A: I have been feeling a little troublesome recently.

最近我有点烦。

(zuì jìn wǒ yǒu diǎn fán 。)

 

B: What's wrong?

怎么了？

(zěn me le ？)

 

A: I have questions to ask Xiao Wang who's younger than me, so I fear losing face.

我有问题想请教小王,但他比我小,我怕丢脸。

(wǒ yǒu wèn tí xiǎng qǐng jiāo xiǎo wáng ,dàn tā bǐ wǒ xiǎo ,wǒ pà diū liǎn 。)

 

B: Don't feel ashamed to learn from your subordinates. He is a junior, but still knows more than you in some areas.

要不耻下问。他虽是晚辈,但毕竟在某些方面比你懂得多。

(yào bú chǐ xià wèn 。tā suī shì wǎn bèi ,dàn bì jìng zài mǒu xiē fāng miàn bǐ nǐ dǒng dé duō 。)
