Usage:

 

“风凉话”指嘲讽别人的话语，说话人借此来打击别人的积极性，让别人生气或者感到不舒服。

“风凉话”means discouraging or taunting somebody.

Sentences:

 

1、Tā búdàn bù bāngmáng, hái zài yìpáng shuō zhe fēng liáng huà.
他不但不帮忙，还在一旁说着风凉话。

He doesn’t help but just give a kibitzer's comments.

 

2、Duì biérén de fēng liáng huà wǒmen yīnggāi zhì zhī bù lǐ, zìjǐ gàn zìjǐ de.
对别人的风凉话我们应该置之不理，自己干自己的。
