Talk about State Affairs with Small Chopsticks 小小竹筷指点江山

张良，汉初大臣，遇刘邦而为其谋臣。消灭秦朝后，刘邦便开始与楚王项羽争夺天下。项羽出兵将刘邦困于荥阳，形势危急。
Zhang Liang, a minister in the early Han Dynasty, met Liu Bang and became his adviser. After overturning the Qin Dynasty, Liu Bang began to seek for dominance over the Conqueror Xiang Yu. Xiang Yu’s army trapped Liu Bang in Xingyang and it was a critical situation.
刘邦被大兵围困，便请郦食其商讨对策。郦食其劝他立六国之后，称霸天下，这样项羽也得俯首称臣。刘邦觉得很有道理。
Liu Bang was trapped by a large number of soldiers, so he asked Li Yiji to discuss possible strategies. Li Yiji advised him to found Six States before dominating the country, and thus Xiang Yu would have to fall at his feet. Liu Bang agreed with Li.
商讨完大事后，刘邦命人端上酒菜，与郦食其饱餐。这时，张良前来求见，刘邦一边吃，一边高兴地把计划告诉了他。张听后惊说：“陛下的大事完了。”
After the discussion was over, Liu Bang ordered servants to serve wine and dishes to share with Li. At that time, Zhang Liang came. Liu Bang was eating while telling Zhang the plan happily. After hearing the plan, Zhang said in astonishment, “His Majesty, a disaster is imminent.”
刘邦奇怪地问：“为什么？”张良说：“请把筷子借给我，让我给陛下分析一下当前的形势。”接着，张良便从刘邦手中接过筷子，边比划边分析了原因。最后又说：“陛下如果真用了郦食其的计谋，则大事完矣。”
Liu Bang asked confusedly, “Why?” Zhang Liang said, “Please give me the chopsticks. Let me analyze the current situation for His Majesty.” Then, Zhang Liang took the chopsticks from Liu Bang. He gesticulated with the chopsticks and analyzed the reasons. At last, he said, “If His Majesty uses Li Yiji’s scheme, a disaster will be imminent.”
刘邦目瞪口呆，恍然大悟：“这小子！差点坏了我的大事！”郦食其羞惭离去。
Liu Bang was stunned and was suddenly enlightened, “You wretch! You almost ruined it!” Li Yiji left in shame.
