Lance: Now if you wanna take the exam and you flunk the first time, don’t worry, you can take it again for no extra charge. Now if you flunk it twice, you do have to pay another 50 yuan, but what that money gives you is another two attempts. So I can roughly count that about 25 yuan every time you want to take the test. Now with regards to your paperwork, you come back to the driving bureau and submit all of your paperwork, give it to them. At that time, they will give you a test date. Now the test is usually administered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m..

Lance: Now when you’ve registered for your exam, you will be given a study guide book and it has 1,317 review questions in it. I can see the multiple choice questions and the right or wrong questions. The first time I took the exam I only studied for about six hours and got 88%. The second time I took the exam I scored 90%. But I studied the course about two weeks for about 30 hours. What it means is that the test and the result of the test depends largely on the luck-of-the-draw questions, and the all way you can prepare for the test, and  not be surprised in the questions, is to memorize all of the questions in this book. It’s not as hard as you think.

Lance: Pay attention to key words on the right or wrong questions. They can be a bit tricky. Know the traffic signs, drive around and show different types of signs and explain them.
