The film is about dental care. The red-faced and the blue-faced are two disruptive dental bacteria. The film explains dull and complicated scientific knowledge in an easy and direct way. It employs the trick of personification, and a lively and fresh form. It fully displays characteristics of children’s fairy stories and is readily understandable.

The film won the “Xiao Bai Hua” best animated Film Awards in 1982.
