Pre-Qin 先秦 Yu the Great 大禹

禹是中国传说时代与尧、舜齐名的贤圣帝王，他最卓著的功绩，就是历来被传颂的治理滔天洪水，又划定中国国土为九州。后人称他为大禹，也就是伟大的禹的意思。
Yu the Great, lauded as one of the "sage-kings" of Ancient China, including King Yao and King Shun, was a legendary ruler of Ancient China, famed for his introduction of flood control, inaugurating dynastic rule by dividing China into nine provinces. Yu is posthumously honored with the appellation "the Great" by future generations.
