Pre-Qin 先秦 Xi Shi 西施

西施本名施夷光，春秋末期出生于浙江诸暨苎萝村。天生丽质。中国古代四大美女之首，是美的化身和代名词。西施与王昭君、貂蝉、杨玉环并称为中国古代四大美女，其中西施居首。
Xi Shi, originally named as Shi Yiguang, was born in Zhuluo village, Zhuji city, Zhejiang province in the late Spring-and-Autumn Period. Beautiful and intelligent, she was the top of the Four Great Beauties in ancient China, with the other three being Wang Zhaojun, Diao Chan and Yang Yuhuan. She is said to be the embodiment of beauty.
