人民银行发行吉祥文化金银币 Central bank issues 2019 series of "Auspicious Culture" coins

 China's central bank issued the 2019 edition of its "Auspicious Culture" commemorative coins(纪念币 Jìniàn bì) on Thursday.

 

 

The series(系列 xìliè) features two gold(金 jīn) and five silver(银 yín) coins. According to an announcement by the People's Bank of China, the series includes a gold coin and a silver coin in the shape of heart(心形 xīn xíng).

 

On the coins are the Chinese characters for "auspiciousness(吉祥 jíxiáng)" and traditional Chinese emblems(元素 yuánsù) that symbolize(象征 xiàngzhēng) good luck(好运 hǎo yùn) and happiness(幸福 xìngfú).
