Sweet lemons is like, "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." It means making the best of a bad situation, even if it involves urdenial, mixing lemons with cuploads of sugar until they actually taste sweet. It is essentially the equal opposite of sour grapes.
An idiom that is roughly the inverse of "sour grapes", though much rarer: insisting that something unpleasant is in fact desirable, esp. if it was actively sought for earlier. The term sweet lemons comes from the saying, "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." It means making the best of an undeniably bad situation, even if it involves complete and utter denial, mixing lemons with cuploads of sugar until they actually taste sweet. It is essentially the equal opposite of sour grapes.
