彭加木的失踪是在六月份。六月份的罗布泊天气多变, 最高温度有75C。去过罗布泊的人都说，六月份是个危险的月份，不要在六月份去罗布泊。

可是对于一个叫余纯顺的人来说，六月份正是他最想征服罗布泊的时间。在三十七岁前，余纯顺有过坎坷的人生, 和失败的婚姻. 三十七岁那年, 还在工厂工作的他, 再也不想这样平凡地过一生. 他为自己做出了一个重要的决定。他决定徒步走遍中国, 过一种完全不一样的生活。

他这么想，也这么做了。八年时间里，他用一双脚，孤身走遍了中国的23个省。做了150多场演讲。多少次死里逃生。写下了不少珍贵的游记。他的探险精神受到人们的崇尚。

1996年，上海人余纯顺决定徒步穿越罗布泊。上海电视台和他一起去了罗布泊，要给他做徒步穿越罗布泊的电视节目。为彭加木开过车的司机说过,”不要在六月份进入罗布泊，那是个危险的月份。” 可是余纯顺就是要向人们证明，六月的罗布泊，是可以被人征服的。

Peng Jia Mu was missing in June. The weather of Lop Nur in June was unstable. The highest temperature there could be 75C. According to those who had been to Lop Nur, June was a dangerous month, it’s better not to enter Lop Nur in June.

However for a man named Yu Chun Shun, June was exactly the right time for him to conquer Lop Nur. Before he was 37 years old, Yu Chun Shun had a rocky road of life and a broken marriage. At the age of 37, being a worker in a factory, he didn’t want to continue his mediocre life anymore. He made an important decision for himself. He decided to hike all way through China, to experience a completely different life.

He did exactly what he thought. In the following eight years, he hiked though all 23 provinces of China on foot. He gave more than 150 lectures to people. Many times he had to escape from near death. He wrote down numerous valuable travel journals. His passion in exploration was admired by people.

1996, Shanghainese Yu Chun Shun decided to hike through Lop Nur. Crews of Shanghai TV escorted him to Lop Nur in order to make a TV program of his hiking journey through Lop Nur. The driver that had worked for Peng Jia Mu before had said that, “Don’t enter Lop Nur in June, June is a dangerous month.” But Yu Chun Sun just wanted to prove that to conquer Lop Nur in June by human is possible.
