The Han Dynasty Tomb at Guishan 龟山汉墓

龟山汉墓位于中国江苏省徐州市的龟山西麓，是西汉第六代楚王襄王刘注（即位于公元前128年-前116年）的夫妻合葬墓，1981年被当地群众开山采石时发现。
The Guishan Han Dynasty Tomb is situated in the west side of the Guishan Mountain which is located in the city of Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. It is the tomb of the sixth Chu King, Liu Zhu (who reigned between 128 BC-116 BC) and his wife who lived in the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 25). It was discovered in 1981 by the local people while quarrying in the mountain.

龟山汉墓为两座并列相通的夫妻合葬墓，南为刘注墓，北为其夫人墓，墓葬开口处于龟山西麓，呈喇叭形状，有南北两墓道，墓室由人工开凿而成。
It is composed of two parallel but communicating parts. The south part is the tomb of Liu Zhu and the north part is that of his wife. The opening of the tomb is in the western slope of the Guishan Mountain and is shaped like a bell, while there are two paths, one in the south and the other in the north. The coffin chamber was excavated by manpower.
每条通道长56米，高1.78米，宽1.06米，沿中线开凿，最大偏差仅为5毫米。南北通道相距19米，通道地平面内高外低，高低相差527毫米，呈1/1000的坡度，这是迄今世界上打凿精度最高的通道。
Each path in the tomb has a length of 56 m, a height of 1.78 m and a width of 1.06 m dug running along the central line, with the largest deviation of 5 mm. The distance between the paralleled southern path and the northern path is 19 m and the ground plane is high on the inside and low on the outside with a difference in height of 527 mm, having a slope of 1 in 1,000. Today, it is the chiseled tunnel with the highest accuracy in the world.
墓中有墓室十五间，室室相通，大小配套，主次分明。墓葬东西全长83米，南北最宽处达33米，总面积达700余平方米。此墓工程浩大，雕凿精细，气势雄伟，实为世界罕见，中华一绝。
The main body of the tomb consists of 15 coffin chambers that are interconnected. The sizes of the chambers complement each other and are distinctly marked according to their importance. The distance in length from east to west is 83 m, and the greatest width from south to north reaches 33 m with a total area of over 700 sq m. The engineering of this tomb is spectacular, with meticulous chiseling, making it a very rare sight in the world and one of its kind in China.
