评注:
诗人少年离开家乡到外边做官,经过五十多年,86岁时才返回家乡,感到人生易老,人世浮沉,大有“烂柯人”之感。
Casually Written after Returning Home
By He Zhizhang
I left home young
And am now old when I’ve come back.
My local accent remains the same,
But my temple hair has become sparse.
When children saw me, they didn’t know me
For the while,
But asked me wher I was from,
In smiles.
Note & Commentary:
The poet left home young and returned at the age of 86 after a lapse of fifty odd years to find himself like Rip Van Winkle returning home after a long sleep in the hollow.
