So we'll go no more a roving
So late into the night,

Though the heart be still as loving,

And the moon be still as bright.

hǎobɑ， wǒmén búzài yìqǐ mànyóu
好吧，我们不再一起漫游，
búzài xiāomó zhè yōushēnde yèwǎn
不再消磨这幽深的夜晚，

jǐnɡuǎn xīnér yīrán chōnɡmǎn àiliàn
尽管心儿依然充满爱恋，

jǐnɡuǎn yuèɡuānɡ háishì nàme cànlàn
尽管月光还是那么灿烂。

For the sword outwears its sheath,
And the soul wears out the breast,

And the heart must pause breathe,

And love itself have rest.

jìrán lìjiàn nénɡbǎ jiànqiào mòpò，
既然利剑能把剑鞘磨破，
línɡhún yěnénɡbǎ xiōnɡtánɡ zhémo
灵魂也能把胸膛折磨，

zhèkēxīn xūyào tínɡxiàlái hūxī
这颗心需要停下来呼吸，

àiqínɡ yěxūyào shāozuò xiūxi
爱情也需要稍作休息。

Though the night was made for loving,
And the day returns too soon,

Yet we'll go no more a roving

By the light of the moon.

suīrán yèwǎn zhuǎnwèi àiqínɡ jiànɡlín，
虽然夜晚专为爱情降临，
báizhòu rénɡrán háishìhuì láidào，
白昼仍然还是会来到，

ráněr zàizhè jiǎojiéde yuèɡuānɡxià
然而在这皎洁的月光下，

wǒmén búzài yìqǐ mànyóu。
我们不在一起漫游。
