Huo Qubing 霍去病

霍去病（前140年－前117年），汉族，河东郡平阳县（今山西临汾西南）人。中国西汉武帝时期的杰出军事家，是名将卫青的外甥，任大司马骠骑将军。好骑射，善于长途奔袭。霍去病多次率军与匈奴交战，在他的带领下，匈奴被汉军杀得节节败退，霍去病也留下了"封狼居胥"的佳话。
Huo Qubing (140 BC-117 BC), Han nationality, native of Pingyang county, Hedong prefecture (now southwestern Linfen, Shanxi province), was a prominent military strategist of China's Western Han Dynasty under Emperor Wu. He was a nephew of Wei Qing, a famous general, and served as the Da Sima Biaoji Jiangjun (Cavalry General Serving as Commander-in-Chief). As a cavalry archer, he was skilled at long-distance riding. Huo Qubing regularly led his own troops deep into enemy territory and with rapid running assaults inflicted great defeats on the Xiongnu (Hsiung-nu), which can be found in the popular tale Feng Langjuxu (worshipping god of Langjuxu Mountain to commemorate the victory).
