Liu Zongyuan 柳宗元

柳宗元是我国唐朝著名的文学家，字子厚，世称"柳河东"，与唐代的韩愈、宋代的欧阳修、苏洵、苏轼、苏辙、王安石和曾巩，并称"唐宋八大家"。一生留诗文作品达600余篇，其文的成就大于诗。
Liu Zongyuan, with his courtesy name Zi Hou, was a famous writer in the Tang Dynasty, and was also known as Liu Hedong. He, together with Han Yu in the Tang Dynasty, Ouyang Xiu, Su Xun, Su Shi, Su Zhe, Wang Anshi and Zeng Gong in the Song Dynasty, was named as the Eight Great Prose Masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties. He wrote over 600 poems and prose in his life, with prose more admired.
主要成就：柳宗元一生留诗文作品达600余篇。与韩愈倡导古文运动。"唐宋八大家"之一
Major achievements: Liu Zongyuan wrote over 600 poems and prose in his lifetime. Initiated of the Classical Prose Movement with Han Yu, he is classed as one of the Eight Great Prose Masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties.
