Lu You 陆游

陆游（1125-1210），字务观，号放翁。汉族，越州山阴（今浙江绍兴）人。南宋诗人。创作诗歌很多，今存九千多首，内容极为丰富。抒发政治抱负，反映人民疾苦，风格雄浑豪放；抒写日常生活，也多清新之作。词作量不如诗篇巨大，但和诗同样贯穿了气吞残虏的爱国主义精神。杨慎谓其词纤丽处似秦观，雄慨处似苏轼。著有《剑南诗稿》、《渭南文集》、《南唐书》、《老学庵笔记》。
Lu You (1125-1210), had courtesy name of Wuguan, and the pseudonym Fangweng. He was of the Han nationality, from Shanyin of Yuezhou (now Shaoxing city, Zhejiang province), and was a poet of the Southern Song Dynasty. He wrote many poems, with over 9 thousand pieces still extant. They covered extensive subject matters, either expressing the political ambition, or reflecting the harsh life of the masses. The style of these poems was powerful and free. There were also fresh pieces that showed the everyday life of the people at the time. His writing of Ci-poetry was less plentiful than that of his poems, but they also clearly demonstrated his patriotic feelings. Yang Shen concluded that his Ci poems could be as gentle as that of Qin Guan and as powerful as that of Su Shi. His works include Jiannan Shigao (Lu You's Collected Poems), Weinan Wenji (Lu You's Collected Articles), Book of the Southern Tang Dynasty and Notes of Laoxue Hut.
