Zhuhai International Airshow

China's homemade drones came under the spotlight at the international airshow in the southern city of Zhuhai in Guangdong Province last week.
上周广东珠海举行了第十届中国国际航空航天博览会，国产无人机成为了航展上备受关注的焦点。

Drones(无人机) displayed at the biennial(两年一次) Zhuhai International Airshow(航展) are all based on domestic designs(国内设计) and have multiple(多种) military applications(军事上的运用) including being deployed in combat(战斗) or reconnaissance missions(侦察任务).

Among the exhibits, the Wing Loong UAV(翼龙无人机), a medium-altitude(中空), long-endurance(长航), unmanned aerial vehicle(无人驾驶的飞行器) , which was the first of its kind in the world, has gained the most attention from visitors.

According to Wing Loong UAV's developer(开发者) Chengdu Aircraft Design and Research Institute, the drone can fly at a maximum(最高的) altitude(海拔) of 5,300 meters and has a range of 4,000 kilometers. It has a payload(负载) of 200 kilograms and can be used for both military and civic operations(军民两用).

The Drone maker said the aircraft is capable of precision strikes(精确打击) and long-duration, long-distance reconnaissance(长时间、长距离侦察).
