Scenic Spots 风景名胜:
虎山长城建造于明朝万历年间，是中国万里长城的东部起点。如同一条巨龙，横卧在虎山之上。登城远眺，中朝边界“一步跨”近在咫尺，丹东和朝鲜新义州的景色一览无余，两岸风光尽收眼底。古老的城墙，巍峨伫立，似乎在向人们诉说着它的百年沧桑。
The Hushan Great Wall was built during the Ming Dynasty some 400 years ago. It is the eastern end of China's Great Wall. It crawls on the mountain like a giant dragon. On top of the Great Wall, the visitor can see down below the "Yibukua" Sino-Korean border while enjoying the scenery on both sides of the river. The magnificent time-honored Great Wall seems to be telling a story about its changes in the last 100 years.
 
Language Points 语言点:
“着” ：是动态助词，一般都放在动词后面，表示状态的持续。
“zhe”is a verbal auxiliary word, usually all positioned after a verb. It is used to express the continuation of an action.
Example:
àn biān zhòng zhe xǔ duō shù。qiáng shàng guà zhe yì fú huà ér。
岸 边    种    着  许 多  树 。 墙    上    挂 着  一 幅 画 儿。
There are many trees planted on the shore. There is a painting hanging on the wall.
nà biān tíng zhe yì tiáo xiǎo chuán。
那  边   停 着   一 条   小    船。
There is a little boat moored over there.

1. 料到liào dào
是指事先推测道、猜测到的意思。
"Liaodao" means to predict or foresee.
Example:
wǒ zǎo liào dào jīn tiān xià wǔ bú huì xià yǔ de。
我  早  料  到   今  天   下 午  不 会   下 雨 的。
I predicted for sure it wouldn't rain this afternoon.
2.半天 bàn tiān
是指时间比较长，不是指半天的时间。这是一种夸张的说法。
"bantian" means a long time and not necessarily half a day. It's an exaggerated expression.
wǒ kàn le bàn tiān yě méi kàn qīng chǔ。
我  看 了 半  天   也 没  看  清  楚 。
I look for a long time but I still couldn't see clearly.
