秦皇岛是中国惟一以帝王名称命名的城市。公元215年，秦始皇东巡至此拜海求仙，秦皇岛因此得名。遥遥求仙路，犹现出昔日求仙入海的壮观场面，秦始皇在此高举金樽祭奠沧海，为您展现一幅二千年前的古老画卷，吟唱一曲传诵至今的亘古长歌。

Qinhuangdao is the only Chinese city that was named after an emperor. In 215 ad, emperor Qin Shihuang came here to pay homage to the sea and seek a longevity drug. That's why the city was named qinhuangdao. The qiuxian road is lined with sculptures depicting the emperor's trip in search of a longevity drug. Raising high his wine cup, Qin shihuang expresses his respect for the vast sea. These sculptures bring to life a historical event that took place over 2,000 years ago.
