要增长知识，就要读很多很多的书：要开阔眼界，就要走很多很多的路。
这条谚语告诉我们：读书可以增加间接知识，观察可以增加直接知识。一个人要读很多的书，才能够做到知识广博；要走许多路，才能丰富自己的见闻。两者都不可缺少。
