瑞典中央统计局公布的数据显示，瑞典2010年出生的半数以上女婴以及43%的男婴寿命可达到90岁。而瑞典90年前出生的女婴和男婴中，分别只有25%和10%的人能活到这一高龄。
 
报告说，在瑞典全国940万人口中，近50万人的年龄超过80岁，预计20年后，80岁以上老人可达80万人，50年后将增至100万人。报告还预测，瑞典人口预计到2020年可超过1000万，2060年将达近1100万。
 
about half of the girls and 43 percent of the boys born in 2010 are likely to live to 90 years, Statistics Sweden said in a forecast. But among people who were born 90 years ago, only 25 percent of women and 10 percent men can live up to such a high age, the forecast said.
 
There are now nearly 500,000 people who are over 80 years old among Sweden's population of 9.4million.Twenty years later, the figure will increase to 800,000 and 50 years from now, there will be 1 million people to be over 80 years old.
 
Meanwhile, Sweden's population will reach 10 million by 2020and 11 million by 2060, said the forecast.
