故事梗概
刚过21岁生日的大福是个孤独症患者，父亲王心诚在妻子去世后，一个人将大福养大，如今王心 诚身患肝癌，自感时日无多，虽然楼下开小卖店的柴姨时常给这对父子无私的帮助，但如何安置大福的未来还是王心诚放不下的牵挂，他甚至有了和儿子一同赴死的 想法。王心诚试图将大福送回培智学校，但是学校、福利院一连串的拒绝令他倍感失落。而且在大福的世界里，水是他最好的朋友，这个能像海豚一样畅游的孤独症 患者也无法离开水族馆。王心诚急于教会大福生存的技巧，他的时间已经不多了。

Synopsis:
David suffers from autism: he looks absent-minded, repeats other people's words, swims with amazing ease… and maybe he is not totally aware of his mother's death some years ago. Working in an aquarium, Sam Wong takes tender care of this twenty-two-year-old son of his. With the generous help of the neighbors, the two live happily together. Yet, the father understands very well that in the end, he will have to depart from the world, leaving his son alone, and that day will come sooner than everyone is ready to believe.

绳子shéng zǐ
n. rope. Here it means the rope that the father intend to kill himself and his son in the ocean.

解 jiě
v. untie.
It has a lot of means in Chinese, such as (1)explain,解释；(2)interpret,理解；(3)understand, 了解；(4)solve problem,解决。

走zǒu
v.(1) walk; 我们出去走走吧。(2)go; leave;时间不早了，我该走了。(3) move; 走开，别挡着我。
In this film, it refers to pass away. Actually in Chinese, people often use "走" to refer to someone dead. It is a taboo to say "死" directly.

管guǎn
n. tube; pipe 水管、金属管；

In this movie,“我走了，谁来管你？” means "If i pass away, who can take care of you?"

柴嫂：把鸡蛋带上，大福爱吃。

柴嫂：回来取东西啊？你说你这是何苦呢？有地方能收留大福，不是已经很好了吗？
父亲：是啊，可有些事，我还是想让大福弄明白。要不我不放心。
柴嫂：鸡蛋别给钱啊，小心我跟你急。
父亲：这个，是张照片。到时候，放在那盒上。这有点钱，别买太贵的，贵了也没用。

何苦hé kǔ
why bother: is it worth the trouble
a modal word in Chinese, often used in a question. It always means that something unworthy.
你何苦给自己找罪受？ Why bother to look for trouble for yourself?

急jí
