A Blossom Tree May Buddha let us meet in my most beautiful hours, I have prayed for it for five hundred years. 　　 Buddha made me a tree by the path you may take, In full blossoms I'm waiting in the sun every flower carrying my previous hope. As you are near, listen carefully the quivering leaves are my waiting zeal, 　　 As you pass by the tree without noticing me, My friend, upon the ground behind you is not the fallen petals but my withered heart.

作者简介： 席慕容(1943-)，蒙古族女诗人。出生于四川。十三岁起在日记中写诗，十四岁入台北师范艺术科，后又入台湾师范大学艺术系。1964年入比利时布鲁塞 尔皇家艺术学院专攻油画。毕业后任台湾新竹师专美术科副教授。举办过数十次个人画展，出过画集，多次获多种绘画奖。1981年，台湾大地出版社出版席慕容 的第一本诗集 《七里香》，一年之内再版七次。其他诗集也是一版再版。出版的诗集有《七里香》、《无怨的青春》、《时光九篇》、《边缘光影》、《迷途诗册》、《我折叠着 我的爱》等。席慕容多写爱情、人生、乡愁，写得极美，淡雅剔透，抒情灵动，饱含着对生命的挚爱真情。影响了整整一代人的成长历程。

about the Writer:
Hsi Muren (Xi Murong) was born in 1943 in Sichuan Province but was raised in Taiwan. She taught art for many years and is famous for her paintings of lotus flowers. Of Mongolian descent, she travels to Mongolia every summer and often writes and lectures on Mongolian culture. She has retired to Tamsui, wher she lives with her husband.
