黄土高原位于中国中部偏北，内蒙古高原以南，是中国的第三大高原。黄土高原是世界最大的黄土沉积区。跨山西省、陕西省、甘肃省、青海省、宁夏回族自治区及河南省等省区，面积约40万平方千米。黄土高原表面有许多沟谷。
Situated in north China and south of the Inner Mongolia Plateau, the Loess Plateau is the third largest plateau in China. Covering an area of approximately 400,000Km2 and spanning the provinces of Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai and Ningxia, the Loess Plateau is the largest loess deposition area in the world. There are spectacular gullies across the Loess Plateau.
