Sanqing Mountain in Jiangxi 江西三清山风景名胜区

三清山位于江西省东北部上饶市境内，是国家重点风景名胜区。景区内千峰竞秀、万壑奔流、古木茂盛、珍禽栖息。同时她又是一座具有1600余年历史的道教名山，古代文化遗产得到完好保存。可谓亿载造化和千秋人文相融合的典范。
The Sanqing Mountain lies within the border of Shangrao City in the northeastern part of Jiangxi Province and is a key scenic spot at state level. In this area, high-rising peaks tower around, rolling torrent roar to the sea, ancient trees grow in luxuriance, and rare birds perch everywher. Meanwhile, it is also a Taoist mountain with a history of over 1,600 years. The ancient cultural relics all lay intact, looming as a perfect combination of natural wonder and humanity spanning a million years’ time.
三清山总面积229平方公里，中心景区为71平方公里。最高峰玉京峰，海拔1816.9米，三清山山体南北长12.2公里，东西宽6.3公里，平面呈荷叶状，由东南向西北倾斜。三清山由于处在造山运动频繁而剧烈的地带，因此断层密布，节理发育，山体不断抬升，又经大自然长期风化侵蚀和重力崩解作用，造化神工形成了奇峰矗天，幽谷千仞的山岳绝景奇观。
The Sanqing Mountain covers a total area of 229 km2, with the central scenic part taking up 71 km2. The summit is Yujing Peak, 1,816.9m above sea level. The Sanqing Mountain is 12.2km long from north to south and 6.3km wide from east to west. The plan view is in a shape of a water lily’s leaf, with a slant from southeast to northwest. Situated in a zone of frequent and violent motion of mountain-forming, the Sanqing Mountain is characterized by numerous faults, joint development, and protrusion of mountainous bodies. Then due to long-term erosion of nature and the breakage effect under gravity, grotesque skyscraper-like peaks were carved out as if by the magic hand of nature, constituting rare sceneries of serene valleys and cliffs.
这个“养在深闺”的三清山，在地球漫长的变迁史中，由于未受到第四纪冰川的影响，奇迹般地保存了各种地貌的类型，并“收藏”了大量的古老孑遗植物。奇美的花岗岩峰林地貌获得了世界自然遗产专家的青睐，他们的评价是：在提名地22950公顷范围内，记录了几乎是连续10亿年的地质演化史，是国际上研究地球历史和扬子、华夏古板块构造的最佳地段；具有规模宏大、造型绝特的花岗岩峰林地貌景观，是花岗岩山岳峰林地貌的一个天然博物馆。
Nestling in a less-trodden location, the Sanqing Mountain assumes various forms of terrain over the long-lasting course of evolution of the earth as it had suffered little of the Quaternary glacial impact, with a large quantity of ancient relic plants growing on it. The landforms of the exotic granite peaks intrigued the specialists of world natural heritage, who remarked thus: within the nominated area of 22,950 hectares, a history of geological evolution over one billion years has been recorded; it is the most ideal section for the world researches into the history of globe and formation of the Yangtze and Cathaysian blocks, as well as a natural museum of landforms of granite peaks with grand and exotic views of landforms of granite peaks.
