Beijing Police Detain Another Actor for Drug Use 

据京华时报微博报道，北京警方证实，10月16日晚，北京市公安局禁毒总队民警在工作中将涉毒人员胡某（男，45岁，浙江省杭州市人，演艺人员）查获。经检验，胡某尿检呈冰毒类阳性。审查中，胡某本人对吸食毒品的违法事实也供认不讳。后该人因吸食毒品被警方依法行政拘留。

此前有媒体报道称，演员胡东曾因吸毒被行政拘留，胡东随后出面否认。

 

Beijing police have confirmed the detention of another actor for drug use, only releasing his surname to the public.

A 45-year-old surnamed Hu from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, confessed to using crystal methamphetamine and tested positive for the drug after being detained on October 16, according to Beijing police.

On the same day, local media reported that Hu Dong, a Chinese actor and model, had been detained by police for taking drugs and later released.

The actor has denied any wrongdoing.

In recent months, China has detained a string of celebrities for drug offences--most notably, Jaycee Chan, son of Chinese kung fu star Jackie Chan, who was formally arrested in Beijing following a drug raid on the younger Chan's Beijing residence in August.
