Zhu Zheqin: Let the World Hear 朱哲琴：让世界听·见

2011年3月31日到4月1日，在全球业界享有高度权威性、被誉为"音乐界诺贝尔奖"的第九届古尔德国际音乐大奖在加拿大多伦多举行。本届评委会主席盛邀中国音乐人朱哲琴担任首席评委。这是该奖项首次邀请华人音乐家担任评委。朱哲琴表示，她将带着中国的一票，将中国的精神和声音带到国际音乐界的最高大奖中。而该奖的执行官Brian Levine这样评价朱哲琴："她是一位有天赋、有革新精神的音乐家。她贡献给这个世界的音乐财富，正是古尔德力图去挖掘与呈现的。她在保护与传承中国少数民族文化上做的努力，映照着文化的多元与宽容，与古尔德古典音乐国际大奖的核心价值观相通。"
From March 31 to April 1, 2011, The Ninth Glenn-Gould Prize, known as the Noble Prize of Music Mircles and enjoying worldwide acclaim, took place in Toronto, Canada. Dadawa is the first Chinese musician ever to serve as chief judge for this event, at the invitation of the chair of the jury. Dadawa stated that she would, on behalf of China, cast votes symbolizing the Chinese spirit and voice for the top award in the music circles. Meanwhile, Brian Levine, executive officer of the prize, commented on Dadawa in this way: 'She is an innovatively gifted musician. What she has contributed to the world is exactly what Glenn Gould attempted to uncover and display. The efforts she has made to protect and promote China's ethnic-minority cultures reflect cultural pluralism and tolerance and meet the core values of the Glenn-Gould Prize.'
朱哲琴说：一直觉得人生短暂，必须要做真正想做的事情。从小就期望有奇迹发生，并且越来越觉得，可以用自己的双手和勇气去慢慢改变一些事情。不相信任何命定的东西。当视野渐开阔，心灵也越发自由。而音乐，一直是有魔力的世界，在这个世界里，我开始了时空的飞翔。
Dadawa: 'I have always thought that life is brief and that we must do what we truly want to do. I wished for miracles as a child and that desire has grown increasingly deeper in me, which makes me believe that I can slowly change some things with my own hands and courage. I refuse to believe in anything as pre-destined. My heart becomes freer as my vision widens. On the other hand, music is like a world with eternal magic, wher I have begun my flight beyond the boundary of time and space. '

1995年，参与制作和演唱的专辑《阿姐鼓》在全球56个国家同步出版发行。随后录制的专辑《央金玛》再次在世界五大洲的65个国家和地区同步发行。
In 1995, she participated in producing and making the album called Sister Drum, published and released in 56 countries around the world. She subsequently produced the album called Voices from the Sky, released in 65 different countries across five continents.
1999年，获得"中国乐坛十年十大歌手奖"。
In 1999, she was awarded the prize for Top-10 Chinese Vocalist of the Decade.
2008年，凭借专辑《七日谈》获得第七届美国独立音乐大奖"世界融合"单元奖，这是中国音乐人首次获得该奖项。
In 2008, as the first Chinese musician ever, she was awarded the World-Fusion Unit Award at the 7th American Independent Music Awards for her album Seven Days.
2009年1月，朱哲琴被联合国开发计划署任命为"中国亲善大使"，发起"少数民族文化保护与发展"亲善行动。同年，她的团队展开了民族音乐寻访之旅，深入云南、内蒙古、新疆、西藏、贵州等少数民族聚居地区对民族音乐进行采集、整理和再创作。
In January 2009, Dadawa was appointed as Chinese Goodwill Ambassador by the United Nations Development Programme to launch Minority Groups' Cultural Protection-and-Development goodwill movements. In the same year, her team initiated a program in search of folk music, reaching out to minority areas, including Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Tibet and Guizhou, wher the team collected, organized and recreated pieces of folk music.
2010年7月到9月，她和"世界看见"亲善团队完成云南、西藏、贵州、青海、内蒙古的手工艺寻访之旅，随后联合知名品牌和设计师完成了"民族手工艺设计专案"，并于2010年12月在中央美术学院美术馆举办了"世界看见"手工艺设计特展。
From July to September 2010, the Show-the-World action team and she completed their handicraft-searching journey in Yunnan, Tibet, Guizhou, Qinghai and Inner Mongolia. Subsequently, along with well-known brands and designers, she finished a Folk Handicraft-design Project. Moreover, she hosted a special Show-the-World handicraft-design exhibition in the gallery of the China Central Academy of Fine Arts in December 2010.
2010年岁末，获得了由凤凰卫视等主办的"智慧东方--2010中华文化人物"年度"中华文化人物"称号。
At the end of 2010, she was awarded a prize for Chinese Cultural Figure by Wisdom from the East-2010 Chinese Cultural Figures hosted by organizations including Phoenix Satellite Television.
