Pu Songling 蒲松龄

蒲松龄（1640－1715）字留仙，一字剑臣，号柳泉居士，世称聊斋先生，自称异史氏，现山东省淄博市淄川区洪山镇蒲家庄人，汉族。出生于一个逐渐败落的中小地主兼商人家庭。创作出著名的文言文短篇小说集《聊斋志异》。
Pu Songling (1640-1715), courtesy name Liuxian or Jianchen, pseudonym Liuquan Jushi, of Han nationality, was born in Pujiazhuang Village, Hongshan Town, Zichuan District, Zibo City, Shandong Province. Pu was called by people as Liaozhai Xiansheng (master of Liao Studio), and he called himself Yishi Shi (author of unofficial history). Born into an impoverished landlord-merchant family, Pu created the famous Liaozhai Zhiyi (Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio), which was a collection of short stories written in classic Chinese.
