Guo Moruo 郭沫若

郭沫若（1892年11月16日—1978年6月12日），出生于四川省乐山市观娥乡沙湾镇，汉族，原名郭开贞，字鼎堂，笔名沫若。是我国现代著名的文学家、诗人、剧作家、考古学家、思想家、古文字学家、历史学家、书法家、学者和著名的革命家、社会活动家，蜚声海内外；他是中国新诗的奠基人。
Guo Moruo (November 16, 1892 - June 12, 1978) was born in Shawan Town, Guan’e Township, Leshan City, Sichuan Province. He was a Han Nationality, and had an original name of Guo Kaizhen, courtesy name of Dingtang, pen name of Moruo. He was a modern Chinese litterateur, poet, dramatist, archaeologist, thinker, paleocharacter expert, historian, calligrapher, scholar, revolutionist, social activist famous both at home and abroad. He was also the founder of Chinese New Verse.
