Team China just had a big day at the world's most lucrative online gaming contest.
Chinese team NewBee claimed the top prize at the International Dota 2 Championships held in Seattle, the United States on Monday (July 21, 2014). They took home a reward of about US$5 million, according to a BBC report.
The runner-up, the team ViCi Gaming, is also from China.
Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena video game. It was developed by American company Valve, which released Dota 2 in July, 2013.
The 2014 tournament started on July 18, and was broadcast on ESPN channels.
