Amazon has launched a new store for 3D-printed products, wher customers can find personalized items including jewelry, home decor, toys, and tech accessories.
"The introduction of our 3D Printed Products store suggests the beginnings of a shift in online retail - that manufacturing can be more nimble to provide an immersive customer experience," Amazon Marketplace Sales director Petra Schindler-Carter said in a press release.
Before purchasing an item in the store, customers can decide its size, color, dimensions and some other designing elements, and get a 360-degree preview.
Amazon currently supports five types of 3D-printed goods: jewelry, home and kitchen, toys and games, electronics, and cell phones and accessories. It is yet to allow customers to upload their own designs.
