German car producer Audi AG on Friday recalled around 70,000 cars worldwide due to possible brake problems.
The affected models are A4, A5, A6, A7, Q5 and Q7, which were produced between March and December 2012 and equipped with a 3-liter diesel engine, according to an Audi spokesman.
At worst, although the car can still be braked, the problem with the brake booster will force the driver to brake only with increased pressure on the pedal, the spokesman told German media.
"Customers could, however, still drive their vehicles until replacement of affected parts. The replacement would last about half an hour and is free of charge," the spokesman added.
