Inmarsat, a provider of global mobile satellite communications services, opened its first office in Beijing on Wednesday.
The move is aimed at expanding Inmarsat's Chinese market and better serving the Chinese clients.
As one of the founding members of Inmarsat, China is a major market for the organization's mobile satellite-based voice and broadband services, delivering double digit growth in the last five years.
Demand for satellite communications services in China is rapidly growing, fueled by connectivity requirements in many sectors including aviation, maritime, media, oil & gas, and government.
