Liu Bei 刘备

刘备（161—223）即蜀汉昭烈帝，字玄德，汉族，涿郡涿县(今河北涿州)人，汉中山靖王刘胜的后代，三国时期蜀汉开国皇帝，政治家，公元221—223年在位。谥号昭烈帝，庙号烈祖，史家又称他为先主。

Liu Bei (161-223), Emperor Zhaolie of the State of Shu Han, courtesy name Xuande, Han nationality, was a statesman and the founding Emperor of Shu Han during the Three-Kingdoms Period, ruling from 221-223. He was born in Zhuo County, Zhuo Commandery (present day Zhuozhou, Hebei), a descendant of Liu Sheng, King Jing of Zhongshan of the Han Dynasty. His posthumous name is Emperor Zhaolie and temple name is Liezu, revered as Xianzhu by historians.
