洪秀全(1814.1.1-1864.6.1),原名洪仁坤,汉族客家人,原籍广东嘉应州,生于广东花县(今广州花都区)福源水村。太平天国创建者及思想指导者,称“天王”,原名仁坤。广东花县人。道光年间屡应科举不中,遂吸取早期基督教义中的平等思想,创立拜上帝会,撰《原道救世歌》以布教,主张建立远古“天下为公”盛世。
Hong Xiuquan (January 1, 1814 - June 1, 1864), former name Hong Renkun, was a Hakka Chinese who established the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, with himself as the “Heavenly King”, an ideological mentor. With his ancestral origin in Jiaying Prefecture, Guangdong, Hong was born in Fuyuanshui Village, Huaxian County (present-day Huadu District, Guangzhou), Guangdong. In the Daoguang period, Hong failed in the imperial examinations again and again. Absorbing the idea of equality in the early Christian doctrine, he established the God Worshippers and wrote Yuandao Jiushi Ge (A Song on the Origin of Tao and Salvation), in which Hong advocated establishing a realm of “the world for all” like the one in time immemorial.
