孙中山(1866.11.12—1925.03.12),名孙文,字载之,号逸仙。中国近代民主主义革命的先行者,中华民国和中国国民党创始人,三民主义的倡导者。首举彻底反封建的旗帜。1905年成立中国同盟会。1911年辛亥革命后被推举为中华民国临时大总统。1940年,国民政府通令全国,尊称其为“中华民国国父”。1929年6月1日,根据其生前遗愿,将陵墓永久迁葬于南京紫金山中山陵。
Sun Yat-sen (November 12, 1866 - March 12, 1925), former name Sun Wen, courtesy name Zaizhi and pseudonym Yat-sen, was the forerunner of democratic revolution in modern China, the founder of the Republic of China and Kuomintang (KMT), and the initiator of the Three Principles of the People. As the first advocate of fighting against feudalism, Sun established the Chinese United League in 1905 and was elected as the provisional president of the Republic of China after the Xinhai Revolution in 1911. Sun was honored as the “Father of the Nation” by the National Government in 1940. On June 1, 1929, Sun’s remains were permanently transferred to Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum at Zijin Mountain (Purple-Gold Mountain) in Nanjing according to Sun’s will.

Major achievement(s): establishing the Chinese United League on August 20, 1905 and initiating Wuchang Uprising, which overthrew the imperial Qing Dynasty in 1911.
