Search Engine Jike.com to Fight Phony Medicines, Doctors
The Chinese search engine firm Jike.com announced yesterday that they are to working to fight against fake medicine and fake doctors together with partners including Qihoo 360 Technology Co Ltd and the State Food and Drug Administration, the Beijing News reports.
Deng Yaping, the general manager of Jike.com said: "Internet companies should shoulder certain social responsibilities. Jike aims to survive through diversified development."
Deng is also a Chinese table tennis player, who won six world championships and four Olympic championships between 1989 and 1997. She's became the general manager of Jike.com on September 25, 2010.
Jike.com was jointly set up by newspaper People's Daily and a listed company for People's Daily Online in 2010. The website offers news and image searches and location-based services.
